RCD Foundation Christmas Market

The ‘Three Little Birds’ were created in conjunction with the Robert Connor Dawes (RCD) Foundation ­– an Australian charity that devotes it’s time to raising money for Paediatric brain cancer research.

This foundation is very close to our hearts at Metalbird. One of our team members, Harry Dunn, was forced to fight for his life at just sixteen years old and since then has devoted his time to helping raise money for the RCD Foundation.

We decided to add the ‘Three Little Birds’ to our flock of Metalbirds to help raise money for RCD. Every bird we sell has 50% of its proceeds go directly to the Foundation, funding research, awareness and supporting the young kids and their families who are suffering from this disease.

We want to thank everyone who has bought one of our ‘Three Little Birds’ and supported this cause. Together we have raised $6466 from July to November 2018! This is a huge achievement and it will go a long way towards the cause.  

But, there’s still a long way to go so, if you live in or around Melbourne and would like to contribute to the RCD Foundation, they are hosting their annual RCD Christmas Market on Thursday 6th December at 39 Royal Avenue, Sandringham from 9am-8pm. There will be clothing, jewellery and food for sale, a silent auction and so much more! All of the proceeds from the event will go towards supporting brain cancer research.
