Description

Cheeky, charming, and full of colour.

These Lorikeets are the backyard showoffs — and we love them for it. Flashing feathers in electric green, blue and orange, they fill gardens with energy, affection, and high-pitched chatter.

Our Pair of Lorikeets silhouette captures their classic pose in flight or perched, close enough to whisper sweet nothings. A celebration of companionship and joy, it's a vibrant piece for lively gardens, patios, or balconies.

  1. Pick a playful perch — fence, wall, or potted tree.
  2. Angle gently downward to mimic real bird posture.
  3. Tap stake in with a mallet until firmly placed.
  4. Frame with bright blooms or native grasses.

Top Tip: Place near a feeder or flowers — real lorikeets might just drop by.

Are the lorikeets connected as one silhouette?
Yes — they're joined together to keep the form stable and easy to install.

Can I install it on a balcony?
Absolutely. Use in pots, planters, or railing boxes.

Do lorikeets live in pairs?
Yes — they’re monogamous and often spotted flying together.

Will it fade in the sun?
The Corten® steel patina protects the surface and deepens over time.

Is it noisy like the real thing?
Thankfully not — this pair is all presence, no shriek!

Each Metalbird is crafted from Corten® Steel, a premium, weathering steel made to last.

When it meets the elements, it doesn’t rust like your old BBQ. It transforms.

That change you’re seeing? That’s patina. A tough, protective outer layer that seals the steel, adds character, and preserves your bird for decades.

This isn’t paint. It’s nature’s way of ageing gracefully.

The Patina Process:

At first, you’ll notice bright orange spots (we call this the teenage phase). Soon enough, the whole bird will turn a bold orange, slowly shifting into deep burnt umber. Eventually, it settles into a moody charcoal that feels like it’s always belonged.

The Result? A piece of industrial art with a heartbeat. No peeling, no fading, just a bird that gets better with age.
